Hello!

Who

First thing first: My name is Tedd, and I am a writer, editor, coach, and instructional designer. I would tell you how I got into creativity coaching, but it would take far too long (like one of those recipes that has a 1000-word introduction to boiled eggs?).  Suffice it to say, my journey has been a lot of fun. I've been in corporate America, startups, run my own business, and written several books. I'm not lauded or awarded (my buddy calls me The Unaccomplished Boy Wonder), but it's been a joyful ride, and I want to help others get in touch with their creativity to find joy, too

I have a Master of Fine Arts from Northwestern and coaching certifications from ATD (The Association for Talent Development) and Author Accelerator. You can check out my creativity blog on Medium or connect with my creative content on TikTok. If any of this sounded cool, you can jump to my offerings page to connect and see if I can support you and your creative goals.

Why

Creativity has always been really important to me. It was my escape as an LGBTQ kid in a small town, my consoloation when my father passed away when I was young, and my sense of self and expression when I was in a cubicle grinding for corporations in my 20s.

As I grew older and invested in my own growth and started to build out a business, nothing got me more excited than creativity research. Turns out creativity isn't just something fun to do, it's a way to excite your brain, access your whole self, and increase personal wellness. Creativity coaching was also a way for me to help more folks than just with my writing coaching business. EVERYONE is creative, most people have just forgotten how to play.

Since then, I've focused on building offerings to help everyone boost their creativity. I also have designed workshops and engagements for teams to help enhance collaboration and innovation. In the age of AI and increasing automation, creativity is sorely needed, not just to feel good but to make impact. And helping people channel that makes me feel incredible. So, reach out! I'd love to help!

How

Lastly, it's probably important to discuss how I can help.

For Individuals: I do one-on-one creative consulting with folks who are feeling uninspired or lost in their creativity. I'll send a Creative Questionnaire for you to fill out. After the questionnaire, if you want to set up a consult call, I'll review your questionnaire and make some observations and suggestions based on your curent state. We'll then meet for 45 minutes to discuss. From there, we can set up continuous accountability or coaching engagements based on your needs.

For Teams: I host in-person and virtual workshops to help connect groups of people to creativity. I have three, 2-hour offerings: Creativity & Personal Wellness, Building Creativity on Teams, and Storytelling for Business. I also offer a half-day, in-person Innovation Lab for teams who are struggling to solve a few key problems. We'll gather, go through exercises, and then do brainstorming and ideation work to help unblock the team's forward progress.
